Today’s piccy, the Natural History Museum in London. About half way through working on my London book …
About half way through working on my London book I decided I needed a small pocket camera and I’d always wanted a fisheye lens to play with. I didn’t have tons of money to spend on this “toy”, so I bought a small SONY pocket camera for about £350 and a fisheye lens for about £200. This is one of the shots that resulted from that cheap and cheerful combo ( trust me £500 for camera kits is about as low budget as you can go and still get quality).
The NHM is a superb place to shoot interior architecture, especially in the mornings when the sun is blasting through the skylights. With COVID restrictions lifting, get along there ‘cos it’s a great place. As an aside, in the end half the images in the book were shot with this cheap little pocket camera, it’s more than paid for itself with the book and competition wins.
